Site Description: One Bloor East, managed by First Capital, is a premier mixed-use property at the prominent Yonge and Bloor intersection in Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood. This open-air retail destination features flagship tenants including Nike, Mango, and Chick-fil-A. Position: Part Time Security Guard
Site: One Bloor, First Capital
Pay Rate: $19.00/an hour
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday (0000 - 1200)
OT Method: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 hours

Key Responsibilities:

Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold…etc.)

always Maintain communications with fellow Security Guard/dispatchers, Cliental and Paladin Managerial Staff.

Ensures all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security policies and procedures
-
Completing mobile patrols diligently

Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
-
Communicates any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager or the client
-
Always Maintain the highest standard of security, being professional in attitude, appearance and application

Represent Paladin Security, Yorkville Village and their respected customers in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation

Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures. Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws

Be observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action either informing the applicable department or handling it personally, whenever possible

Be courteous, and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations

Respond immediately to any emergency and co-ordinate response accordingly based off established procedures
Prerequisites:
-
Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
-
Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)

Covid Vaccine two doses
-
English (oral and written) fluency is a must
-
Previous one year experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
