Fuzion Flooring – Commercial and Builder Specialist (FULL TIME)
Reporting to – National Commercial Sales Manager

Under the direction of the National Commercial Sales Manager, the Commercial and Builder Specialist is responsible for achieving sales targets and driving business growth within the commercial flooring sector. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include identifying and developing leads, conducting sales and product presentations, preparing pricing proposals, and negotiating project opportunities. The Commercial and Builder Specialist will establish and maintain relationships with builders, developers, general contractors, designers, architects, and commercial flooring dealers, serving as a primary point of contact and trusted partner throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management:
- Develop and execute a customer-centric territory business plan aligned with company objectives and growth strategies.
- Evaluate territory performance regularly and adapt strategies based on market conditions, competitive activity, and customer needs.
- Maintain and manage all customer activity, opportunities, quotations, and account information within the company CRM system.
- Build, maintain, and actively manage a healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent opportunity growth and forecast accuracy.
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity summaries as required by Management.
- Deliver professional sales presentations to prospective clients, dealers, builders, general contractors, property managers, and members of the A&D (Architect & Design) community.
- Initiate contact with potential customers through cold calling, networking, industry relationships, tender opportunities, and design community engagement.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and territory objectives through effective relationship management and strategic selling.
- Conduct regular follow-up calls, meetings, and emails with existing customers to ensure satisfaction, strengthen relationships, and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company product line, pricing structure, specifications, warranties, and competitive positioning.
- Demonstrate technical understanding of products and provide product recommendations based on customer requirements.
- Conduct presentations and training sessions for both small and large groups within the A&D and commercial construction community.
- Provide regular feedback to Management regarding market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, product development opportunities, and pricing recommendations.
- Ensure brand awareness and market presence within the assigned territory meets or exceeds company expectations.
Business Development:
- Attend conferences, trade shows, industry events, networking functions, and customer meetings to promote company products and services.
- Establish and maintain strong first-level relationships with key clients built on trust, professionalism, and respect.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their business needs and clearly demonstrate product value and company differentiators.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial, builder, retail, property management, hospitality, healthcare, education, and multi-family segments.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers including designers, architects, builders, developers, dealers, purchasing groups, and general contractors.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and Product Management to support customer success and project execution.
- Actively participate in project tracking, specification development, and quotation follow-up to maximize conversion opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the flooring and construction industry.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of outside sales or business development experience, preferably within flooring, building materials, construction, or related industries.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including A&D firms, builders, contractors, and distribution partners.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Hiring Range:
$60k annually plus commission
