Kincardine Family Health Team
The Kincardine Family Health Team (KFHT) is a group of allied health-care professionals with a mission to provide comprehensive patient care through an interdisciplinary approach that is responsive to community needs.
We are seeking an experienced, qualified individual to join our team as the Human Resources Manager (HR Manager), reporting to the Executive Director.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Approve vacation requests and monitor schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
· Identify employee development needs and coordinate additional training as required.
· Partner with executive and clinical leadership to determine staffing requirements and oversee recruitment and hiring.
· Develop and coordinate employee training to ensure applicable compliance requirements are met.
· Develop training programs based on regulatory requirements and best practices.
· Ensure employees have clear goals and understand performance expectations.
· Ensure employee compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Evaluate performance and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and formal evaluations.
· Administer progressive discipline, as required, in accordance with established procedures.
· Manage employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, workplace accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, and investigations.
· Identify current and future staffing needs in collaboration with leadership; prepare and post job notices/advertisements; and collect, screen, and shortlist applications.
· Monitor assigned payroll activities and/or program components to support effective department operations, coordinate activities, and ensure compliance with financial, legal, and/or administrative requirements.
· Oversee personnel administration, including wage increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions, in accordance with organizational policies.
· Oversee orientation/onboarding for new hires and coordinate training with administrative and clinical staff.
· Participate in site and workplace inspections.
· Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees on performance management, employee relations, difficult conversations, and employee development.
· Manage occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and training.
· Administer benefits programs, including group benefits, HOOPP, and vacation in collaboration with Financial Administrator.
· Coordinate allocation of employer-paid parking, facility access, and employee ID cards.
· Maintain confidential records, including employee files, training records, complaints and investigations, and benefits files.
· Support the Joint Health and Safety Committee and related organizational requirements.
· Manage HR-related contracts and external relationships.
· Conduct regular HR-related audits.
Key Competencies
· Thorough working knowledge of human resources principles and practices, including job evaluation methods, compensation and benefits administration, recruitment techniques, policy development, human resources planning, organizational design strategies, occupational health and safety, and employee relations.
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
· Strong knowledge of general office procedures, including procurement, and budget management.
· Thorough working knowledge of applicable legislation and policies, including the Employment Standards Act, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
· Excellent customer service, multitasking, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently with minimal direction; make decisions within the designated scope of accountability; and keep the Executive Director informed.
· Strong interpersonal, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Ability to exercise respect, tact, and discretion when handling confidential matters.
· Ability to foster cooperative working relationships and champion the KFHT mission, vision, and values.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or a related field.
· Minimum of three years of related experience in office management and/or generalist human resources functions.
· Completion of, or working toward, the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation(s) is considered an asset.
· Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification (Parts 1 and 2), or a commitment to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
· Experience working in a primary care setting is considered an asset.
· Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Work Locations
· KFHT is a multi-site organization, with team members working at the locations listed below based on organizational and coverage needs. The HR Manager will work primarily at the Main Office, with occasional travel to other sites as required.

· Occasional travel to other KFHT sites may be required, including Ripley, Port Elgin, Southampton, and Meaford.
