Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and adherence to food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
