Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and confident individual who is comfortable working with dogs while also handling front desk responsibilities. This is a dual-role position combining dog handling and customer service, ideal for someone who enjoys both working with animals and interacting with people.
Key Responsibilities
Dog Care & Daycare Duties:
- Supervise and manage groups of dogs in an open play setting
- Monitor dog behavior and ensure a safe, controlled environment
- Intervene appropriately in play and redirect behavior when needed
- Follow structured routines and daily schedules
- Assist with feeding, kennel care, and basic handling
- Maintain a clean and sanitized facility (floors, kennels, bowls, etc.)
- Take photos/videos for client updates
Reception & Customer Service:
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally
- Book appointments for daycare, grooming, and training services
- Greet clients and handle check-ins/check-outs
- Provide clear information about services, pricing, and policies
- Maintain organized records and communicate effectively with the team
What We’re Looking For
- Confident handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle busy periods
- Physically capable (standing for long periods, cleaning, lifting up to 50 lbs)
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in dog daycare, kennel, grooming, or training environments
- Knowledge of dog behavior and body language
- Previous reception or customer service experience
Schedule
- Monday to Friday between 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM (varied shifts)
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Must be flexible with mornings, mid-day, and evening shifts
