Project Manager

SUMMARY
Reporting into the Structures Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting and completing projects by budget and design. This role plays a critical part in the structures team and works closely with employees, management, customers, and external stakeholders.
PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
Project Management
- Manages projects to ensure they are constructed according to design, budget, and schedule.
- Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety, and quality control
- Interfaces with the project team, subcontractors, and related third parties
- Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed
- Supervises, provides guidance and assesses the performance of direct reports and other team members
- Oversees project closeout.
Estimating
- Compile various cost reports and resolve cost issues.
- Track substantial completion of projects and ensure reconciliation of all subcontract agreements.
- Maintain and build customer relations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management
- Experience in estimating an asset
- Experience in heavy civil and road construction projects.
- Experience in managing all aspects of road building, asphalt and construction projects.
- Experience managing ICI projects is an asset.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
- Familiar with project management and estimating software programs.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Travel requirements: travel to various work locations is required
- Driver’s license is required
WHAT WE OFFER
- Expected Base Salary: $75,000 – 125,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
