The Days Inn Calgary - North Balzac is now hiring a Full-Time Houseperson/Maintenance Person. We are looking for someone with open availability who is available to work varying shifts from 7:00am - 10:30 pm any weekday as well as Saturday and Sunday.
Houseperson job responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas according to hotel standards. Including vacuuming carpets, emptying wastebaskets, washing windows and cleaning washrooms. Keeping walkways clear of snow and debris. Assisting hotel staff with minor maintenance issues. Assisting housekeeping, laundry and front desk staff when required. Operating housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner. Complying with the hotel safety and emergency procedures. Maintaining security for guests and property. Performing other tasks assigned to you such as deep cleaning, and seasonal cleaning. Cleaning assigned guest rooms according to housekeeping standards.
Basic hotel maintenance is required such as paint touchups and changing of lightbulbs.
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Candidate must have excellent English speaking and communication skills.
