Job Overview
We are a small equipment rental business looking for a reliable and hands-on Equipment Maintenance Assistantto help with the maintenance and upkeep of our rental equipment.
This is a flexible position with hours scheduled based on operational needs
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on a mini excavator (Kubota U27-4) and other light construction equipment
- Service and maintain small engine equipment such as generators, lawn equipment, and compact tools
- Conduct basic inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and general equipment checks
- Diagnose and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Ensure all rental equipment is clean, safe, and ready for customer use
- Assist with equipment check-in and check-out when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in equipment maintenance, small engine repair, or mechanical work
- Familiarity with mini excavators (e.g., Kubota U27) is an asset
- Ability to work independently and solve basic mechanical issues
- Comfortable using hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and is comfortable working with both equipment maintenance and occasional outdoor service tasks. You will play an important role in keeping our rental equipment in good working condition and supporting customer needs when required.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3.0 – 6.0 per week
