Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and heavy equipment skills to ensure vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently in a rural setting living in one of the coolest communities in BC.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and industrial equipment.
- Conduct inspections using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as welders, bobcats,excavators, small engines, RV repairs, tire machines, and heavy machinery.
- Repair or replace components including auto electric systems, engines, transmissions, tune ups, all sorts of car and truck repairs including hydraulic systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, Bobcats, trailer dignostics and wiring, and other industrial equipment as necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety for all team members.
- Communicate effectively with customers and managers regarding repairs diagnostics and maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment to prevent future issues.
Experience
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician with related automotive small engine or industrial applications
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, welding techniques, and farm machinery is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge ia a wide range of abilities preferred.
- Prior experience working with automotive repair systems and troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues is essential.
