NOW HIRING: YARD ATTENDANT / SHOP HAND
Deck It Towing & Hauling Ltd. is looking for a dependable Yard Attendant / Shop Hand to assist with our shop, fleet and impound-yard operations in Clairmont.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Weekends off
Main responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the radio and communicating with Dispatch and the front office
- Communicating by radio, telephone and text
- Assisting registered owners attending the impound yard
- Following company procedures for impound access and vehicle releases
- Boosting trucks and other vehicles
- Moving and organizing vehicles in the yard
- Washing company trucks and equipment
- Shop and yard cleaning
- Assisting with servicing and general maintenance
- Checking and torquing wheels
- Reporting damage and mechanical or safety concerns
- Supporting drivers, tow operators and shop personnel as required
Applicants must:
- Hold a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence
- Be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check
- Be dependable, punctual and comfortable working independently
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Have basic mechanical knowledge
- Be physically capable of working outdoors, washing equipment and completing general shop duties
Previous towing, automotive, fleet, shop or yard experience would be an asset.
Compensation will be discussed based on experience.
