Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience in the food industry, especially as a barista, is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash, credit card transactions, and food orders.
- Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining space.
- Ensure food safety and proper handling of food items in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good time management skills to ensure timely order preparation and customer service.
- Food safety knowledge and proper food handling techniques are essential.
- Prior experience in serving or cashiering roles is beneficial but not required.
