Volunteer Marketing and Social Media Generalist

Generations is a not-for-profit intergenerational community where seniors, families, and individuals live and support one another across housing, care, early learning, health services, and community programs.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a creative and motivated Volunteer Marketing & Social Media Generalist to support Generations Toronto’s digital presence, communications, and brand development.
This role will focus on social media management, marketing growth, website content support, and recruitment marketing across multiple program streams. It is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and passionate about storytelling and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
- Create and schedule posts across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
- Maintain a consistent content calendar aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop engaging content (graphics, captions, short-form video)
- Monitor engagement and support community interaction
Website & Content Support
- Assist with updates and content management on the Generations Toronto website
- Ensure messaging aligns with organizational values and tone
- Support content across housing, long-term care, programs, and services
LinkedIn & Digital Presence
- Support the growth and management of Generations Toronto’s LinkedIn presence
- Assist with regular posting (organizational updates, hiring, milestones, community highlights)
- Help position Generations Toronto as a leader in intergenerational community living
Branding & Communications
- Assist in maintaining consistent branding (tone, messaging, visuals)
- Support creation of marketing materials (flyers, one-pagers, presentations)
- Help capture and share stories that reflect community impact and engagement
Who You Are
- Committed to the mission and values of Generations Toronto
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Creative mindset with an interest in marketing, communications, or social media
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva or similar is an asset
