A Cigar Shop Sales Associate provides specialized customer service, guiding clients through premium cigar selections, accessories, and pairings in a, often, smoking-friendly environment. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, product education, inventory restocking, maintaining humidor integrity, and driving sales through personalized recommendations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Customer Service & Sales: Greet customers, offer expert advice on cigar brands/blends, and drive sales.
- Product Knowledge: Possess or develop deep knowledge of cigars, cutting, and lighting techniques.
- Operations: Handle cash/card transactions, process returns, manage inventory, and maintain clean displays.
- Maintenance: Ensure the proper, regulated environment for the humidor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, with cigar and/or pipe tobacco enthusiasm required/knowledge would be an asset.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a passion for premium tobacco products.
- Requirements: Must be of legal age to sell tobacco products and comfortable working around cigar smoke.
