Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, construction practices, and related mechanical skills. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and precision.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in new construction and existing buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and install plumbing components
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation processes
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC teams to coordinate project activities
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify solutions efficiently
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of plumbing systems
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Experience with HVAC systems, maintenance tasks, and construction practices is a plus
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments
- Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting complex plumbing or mechanical issues
- Basic carpentry skills beneficial for framing or structural adjustments related to plumbing work
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction settings
Pay: $28.37-$51.51 per hour
