Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport goods between locations
- Load and unload items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Assist customers with their belongings, ensuring respectful and friendly service throughout the process
- Use effective communication skills to coordinate delivery schedules and relay important information to team members
- Conduct safety inspections on vehicles before and after trips to ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements within the warehouse system
- Follow safety protocols for heavy lifting and moving to prevent injuries and ensure a secure work environment
Skills
- Proven experience in moving heavy items safely and efficiently
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or appropriate driving certification for commercial vehicles
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Warehouse experience is highly desirable for understanding inventory handling procedures
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and working in various environments
