Overview:
As a Mover at Premiere Van Lines, you are a key part of the customer experience—ensuring each move is smooth, efficient, and stress-free. You’ll work alongside a driver/trainer to carefully pack, load, transport, and unload household goods for our residential clients. Your attention to detail, physical stamina, and commitment to customer satisfaction will help us maintain our reputation for excellence.
The ideal candidate possess strong customer service skills and have experience in moving and heavy lifting. This position requires a valid G Class driver's license and the ability to operate various types of equipment.
Duties:
- Assist with pre- and post-trip truck inspections and ensure all necessary moving equipment is accounted for
- Safely pack, move, load, and unload customer belongings using the proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude throughout the entire move
- Help secure and organize the truck at the end of each job
- Ensure all required paperwork and collected payments are properly submitted at the end of the workday
- Work collaboratively with your team to achieve daily goals and uphold our service standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance operations and customer satisfaction
- Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook or directed by management
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the moving industry or similar physically demanding role is preferred
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to follow instructions from your driver/trainer and apply proper moving/packing strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude when working with customers and teammates
- Problem-solving ability and flexibility to adapt to unique moving situations
- Physical ability to lift 100 lbs or more, and perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends if necessary.
