Overview
Nani's Gelato is an artisan gelato company with on-site production facilities at each of our locations. We make gelato daily from scratch using fresh ingredients and take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. We believe in supporting our community and building strong teams, and we’re looking for an energetic and reliable team member to join our back-of-house operations.
This is a part-time position with an average of 30 hours, with shifts alternating between weekdays and weekends.
All work is completed during the morning and afternoon; we do not operate evening or night shifts. This is a year-round position and not seasonal.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and provide prep support for back-of-house kitchen operations
- Make, blend, and extract gelato according to Nani’s recipes and standards
- Support dishwashing and maintain general kitchen organization
- Maintain and track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts
Qualifications
- Passionate about gelato, desserts, and culinary arts
- Thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, handling multiple tasks
- Available for weekday mornings/afternoons and one weekend shift
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Eager to learn Nani’s gelato-making standards
- Kitchen leadership experience
- Inventory management experience
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Culinary training or experience in dessert preparation is a plus but not mandatory
