Job Duties:
- Provide music instruction to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that are fun and tailored to the individual student.
- Teach proper techniques for playing the instrument.
- Promote a positive and supportive learning environment for students to enhance their musical abilities.
- Provide parents with updates on student progress (when applicable) and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Enthusiasm and positive attitude.
- Ability to bring the fun.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge & skill in music.
- Confidence in playing a musical instrument/performing.
- Minimum 2 years experience in music with an ongoing interest in further developing music skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Professional and respectful demeanour.
The following are not required but considered to be an asset:
- Music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College.
- Any grade RCM standing and/or theory rudiments.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Previous teaching experience with all ages of students.
- Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum.
