Grinder Operator / Loader Operator – Mulch Production
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience operating a commercial-size grinder for mulch production, as well as experience running a front-end loader to load bins, trucks, and trailers with mulch and other materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial-size grinder safely and efficiently for mulching operations
- Feed and manage material going into the grinder
- Operate a front-end loader to load bins, trucks, and trailers
- Move, stack, and organize mulch and wood waste materials on site
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting on the grinder
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow company safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Experience operating a commercial-size grinder or similar heavy equipment
- Experience operating a front-end loader
- Ability to load trucks, bins, and trailers accurately and safely
- Basic mechanical knowledge and maintenance experience
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and equipment care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mulch, forestry, land clearing, excavation, or recycling operations
- Ability to identify basic grinder issues and assist with repairs
- Heavy equipment experience with loaders, excavators, skid steers, or similar machines
Compensation
Pay will be based on experience. Starting $25 - $35+
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
