Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with department heads to create initial project proformas which includes directs, extras, indirect, marketing and land development
Update the project proformas quarterly and as otherwise required
Analyze costs to date, estimate cost-to-complete, projected final costs versus budgets, and investigate and resolve any variances with department heads.
Prepares annual business plan:
Cashflows for all projects
Reconcile to cost to date, equity, bank debt
Create subset of cashflows for projects with partners and prepare consolidated cash flows
Estimate equity, bank loan and profit distributions for all projects
Sales and Closings for business plan
Prepare bank financing proposals for servicing and construction financing.
Prepare and respond to various inquiries from lenders and investor partners.
Estimate cash requirements for projects, reconcile job cost report and prepare monthly bank draw
Analyze homeowner purchase and sale offers against housing proforma, account for extras, grading conditions, lot premiums and other variances, generate offer summary
Other miscellaneous reporting, analysis, duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in finance or commerce
Must have Chartered Professional Accountant or in the process of obtaining designation
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word§ Knowledge of Newstar is an asset
3-5 years of experience with financial analysis and forecasting, budgeting, financial planning as well as preparing a variety of financial performance reports.
Home Building and Development Industry knowledge an asset
Exceptional interpersonal skills
