Press / Collator Operator Job Overview
Factor Forms & Labels Ltd. is a leading Western Canadian manufacturer of business forms, labels, cheques, and commercial print products. We are looking for a motivated, mechanically inclined, and detail-oriented Press / Collator Operator to join our production team in Edmonton.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, takes pride in producing quality work, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous printing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has strong mechanical aptitude and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate printing presses and collating equipment.
- Monitor print quality and make machine adjustments throughout production runs.
- Read and follow job tickets, production specifications, and work instructions.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards.
- Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate production records.
- Package finished products according to customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating printing presses, collators, bindery equipment, or other industrial machinery is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manufacturing or printing experience is preferred; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
Shift Requirements
This position is based on our production schedule and may require rotating day, afternoon, or night shifts. Applicants must be flexible and available to work different shifts as operational needs change. Shift premiums may apply where applicable.
