Garden Maintenance Technician

40 hours per week | $21–$24 per hour
About the Role
Plum Gardens is looking for motivated, outdoor-loving individuals to join our Garden Maintenance team. You’ll work alongside a supportive crew maintaining beautiful residential gardens in Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, and surrounding areas.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a job well done, and loves being outside in all seasons.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain gardens through weeding, cultivating, edging, raking, and watering
- Deadhead flowers and prune shrubs and small trees
- Plant flowers and bulbs
- Apply mulch, soil, and fertilizer
- Perform physically demanding garden work, including digging and lifting
- Maintain tools and assist with trailer loading
- Represent Plum Gardens professionally and positively with clients
Schedule
- August to late November
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekends required due to weather-related schedule changes
What We’re Looking For
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in changing weather
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Willing to learn and use hand and gas-powered gardening tools
- Detail-oriented with good judgment and a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Regular walking, bending, lifting, and carrying tools
- Outdoor work in public-facing environments and varying conditions

Safety Requirements
- Steel-toe boots and gardening gloves
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- PPE provided as required
- First Aid & CPR-C certification considered an asset
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
