Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations, accounting policies, and internal controls for RYCO Properties. This role provides accurate and timely financial reporting, ensures compliance with applicable legislation, and supports the CFO and senior management with financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. The Financial Reporting Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, guiding financial decisions, and driving continuous improvement in financial operations to support both short- and long-term corporate goals.
Objectives of this Role
· Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
· Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape.
· Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
· Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
· Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team/organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
· Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
· Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and provincial standards while monitoring proposed legislation.
· Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
· Oversee Yearend Audit and Tax compliance for the portfolio, including the completion of T2, T5s, T5013s, T4s, etc.
· Oversee and support the accounting team with leadership that creates an environment of trust, accountability, and productivity.
· Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operation of the finance department.
· Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures.
· Prepare or coordinate financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analyses and financial management reports.
· Coordinate the financial planning and budget process, analyzing and correcting variances.
· Supervise the development and implementation of financial simulation models.
· Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures, and investment activities; recommend changes to improve effectiveness.
· Act as liaison with shareholders, external auditors, regulators, and financial analysts.
· Establish profitability standards for investment activities and support mergers or acquisitions as required.
· Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to organizational financial performance.

- Perform risk analysis and implement risk management strategies to safeguard company assets.
- Manage bookkeeping functions, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and audit preparations.
- Support business development efforts by analyzing financial data related to investments and new opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to financial services and corporate finance.
- Facilitate investment analysis, portfolio management, and related activities to optimize financial growth.
- Provide leadership in financial decision-making processes by offering strategic insights based on thorough risk assessment.
Qualifications
- CPA - 5 years post graduation experience
- Senior level and management experience - 3 years
- Real-estate experience considered an asset
- Proven experience in accounting management or a similar senior finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
- Experience in corporate finance, budgeting, cost management, and risk analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Familiarity with financial services industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and investment evaluation.
- Ability to develop strategic business initiatives through sound financial planning.

Pay: $125,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
