Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Class 1 Driver specializing in Truck and Pup and End Dump operations. This role requires a professional with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials across various sites, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle operation. Experience with heavy equipment and commercial driving is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Operate Truck and Pup and End Dump trucks safely and efficiently across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for truck and pup/end dump operations.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with heavy-duty trucks such as Truck and Pup or End Dump trailers.
- Familiarity with freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and safety regulations.
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Prior experience working with freight logistics or construction materials is advantageous.
