Overview
Trinity Lutheran Church Delta, We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Teacher to join our summer STEAM camp program (Kids 4- 12 age). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children in a fun, engaging environment while fostering their growth and development. Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children, enjoy outdoor activities, and possess strong leadership skills. Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or early childhood education is a plus. This position provides a rewarding experience for those interested in making a positive impact on young lives.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children during camp activities and free time
- Lead and facilitate a variety of recreational activities, games, and arts & crafts
- Assist with organizing daily schedules and special events
- Support children in developing social skills, teamwork, and confidence
- Provide guidance and mentorship to campers, acting as a positive role model
- Communicate effectively with parents and camp staff regarding camper progress or concerns
- Promote an inclusive, respectful environment that encourages participation from all children
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is preferred, including tutoring or teaching roles
- Background in STEAM childhood education or related fields is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage children of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities that promote learning and fun
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working outdoors and in dynamic settings
- French or/and Chinese or/ and Music (something special) teaching experience will be asset

Pay: $32.00-$42.00 per hour
