As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming environment and the smooth daily operation of our clinic. You will manage both administrative duties and basic clinical support to help our medical staff provide exceptional patient care.
Clinical Duties
- Prepare examination rooms, escort patients to rooms, and record basic vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, pulse).
- Calling test results to patients.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize provider availability and reduce wait times.
- Performing vaccine clinics for all ages.
- Assist with clinical inventory of supplies and vaccines.
- Emergency kit, AED, and oxygen tank monitoring.
- Maintain a clean and organized work space.
Skills & Qualitifcations
- Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant diploma or certificate program is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- AED Training an asset.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Telus PSS.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Experience in vaccine injecting and documentation mandatory.
- Holter Monitor hook-up and ear flushing experience an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy healthcare environment.
