Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Laborer to join our agricultural team as layer farm. This role involves working outdoors as well as indoors in various farming activities, supporting the growth and maintenance of grass pastures. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and eager to contribute to the success of our farm operations. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in farming and agricultural practices.
Responsibilities
- Cutting grass with a ride on mower and trimming edges with a weed wacker
- Maintain farm equipment and tools, including basic mechanical repairs when necessary
- keeping barn areas neat and tidy using back pack blowers and power washers
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as cases of eggs over long period of times
- Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety guidelines and farm protocols at all times
Skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Mechanical knowledge for maintaining and troubleshooting farm equipment
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating quantities
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn new skills related to farming operations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$33.00 per hour
