Job Summary
The Claims Associate is responsible for managing and processing customer and vendor claims efficiently and accurately. This role involves reviewing claim submissions, verifying documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring claims are resolved in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process claims submitted by customers, clients, or business partners.
- Verify claim information, supporting documents, invoices, receipts, and other required records for completeness and accuracy.
- Investigate claim details and identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, insurance providers, and internal teams to gather additional information and resolve claim issues.
- Assess claims according to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate claim records, documentation, and updates within company systems.
- Track claim status and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare claim reports and provide updates to management as required.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and provide timely responses regarding claim status.
- Identify recurring claim issues and provide feedback to improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, confidentiality requirements, and industry regulations.
- Perform administrative duties related to claims processing and record management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in claims processing, customer service, administration, insurance, or a related role is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze information, identify errors, and make sound decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database or claims management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with claims, invoices, refunds, returns, or dispute resolution.
- Knowledge of industry-specific claims procedures and documentation requirements.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, or claims management software.
Working Conditions

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
