Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Full-Time Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fishing, experience with retail sales and POS systems, and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage all product bookings, with the exception of specialized departments (e.g., archery, firearms).
● Execute re-orders in strict accordance with the established budget.
● Maintain precise inventory counts to ensure accurate re-order planning.
● Document and record all purchases meticulously to provide the Financial Controller with a clear, current
cashflow overview.
● Develop and implement a personalized, detailed, yet sustainable system for all purchasing activities,
preventing missed booking deadlines and unexpected out-of-season shipments.
● Manage end-to-end product lifecycles and real-time inventory tracking for POS/online catalogue
● Facilitate all warranty claims
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
● A highly ambitious, self-starting problem solver.
● Proficient in strong multi-tasking and compartmentalization, with the ability to quickly re-focus on tasks
after assisting customers.
● Capable of working effectively and independently.
● Committed to detailed and accurate record-keeping.
● Flexible in availability, with a specific requirement for working on Sundays.
● The holder of a valid PAL (Possession and Acquisition Licence) or willing to obtain one.
● Proficient in Microsoft Suite/Google Workspace, computer programs, etc
● Trend Anticipation; Have the ability to spot a shift before it hits the bottom line.
● Good oral/written communication skills
