Burnbrae Farms is a sixth generation, Canadian, family owned company, operated today by the fourth generation of the Hudson family. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low-voltage and high-voltage electric motors and related equipment.
- Replace, repair, and maintain conveyor belts and conveyor systems.
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on farm equipment, buildings, and production systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Complete basic electrical work, including wiring, motor controls, and component replacement.
- Perform general plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Inspect equipment regularly and proactively identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Assist with general farm maintenance projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven maintenance experience in an agricultural, industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of electric motors, motor controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience replacing and maintaining conveyor belts and conveyor systems.
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to diagnose issues and develop practical solutions independently.
- Self-starter with excellent initiative and a strong work ethic.
- Able to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Previous farm experience is considered a strong asset.
- Valid driver's license required.
