About the Position
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Project Administration Officer to join our team through the Canada Summer Jobs program.
This position offers valuable hands-on experience in project coordination, event management, international trade promotion, and community engagement. The successful candidate will contribute directly to initiatives that support local businesses, promote cultural diversity, and strengthen connections between Canadian and European business communities.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative and Project Support
- Assist with organizing and maintaining project files, databases, and internal communications
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, promotional materials, and project documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to projects focused on supporting local businesses and community development
Event Coordination and Logistics
- Support the planning and execution of trade and cultural promotion initiatives, including webinars, networking events, B2B meetings, trade missions, and community outreach activities
- Assist with organizing business, cultural, and networking events promoting European trade, culture, and international collaboration
- Coordinate guest lists, registrations, event materials, logistics, and post-event follow-up
Stakeholder and Member Engagement
- Respond to inquiries from members, businesses, and community stakeholders regarding Chamber activities and services
- Assist in maintaining relationships with Chamber members, community partners, and government agencies
- Help collect and organize feedback from participants and members to support ongoing improvements to Chamber initiatives
Research and Outreach Support
- Conduct research related to trade promotion and cultural initiatives
- Assist with compiling data for reports, feasibility studies, and outreach activities
- Support outreach efforts that promote local businesses and encourage community engagement through Chamber programs and events
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in business administration, communications, event management, international relations, marketing, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field.
Equivalent combinations of education, volunteer experience, and community involvement will also be considered
