We are currently seeking 1 motivated and dedicated Behavior Interventionist to join our team. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with 3 clients. The clients all have different programs and level of support needs. Their ages range from 3 (nearly 4)-12. The candidate will work closely with a child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to implement behavior intervention plans, promote social skills and communication, emotional regulation, provide tailored academic support and foster a positive learning environment. All children are vastly different so this positions requires someone who is able to adjust their tone/volume and energy levels to fit the students learning needs.
We are specifically looking for a candidate who is available Monday, Tuesday /Thursdays plus Wednesday and Fridays.
3 year old: Wednesdays and Fridays would be from 9-11am with the occasionally Monday AM for team meetings.
7 and 12 year old: Afternoon sessions would be Monday and Wednesdays 3-4:30 plus 4:45-6:15 for one of those day as well as Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:30-5pm. This position is offering 12-14 hours per week across both clients plus additional prep time for materials. Hours may vary in August for training.

Responsibilities:
- Attend mandatory bi-weekly or monthly team meetings. Meetings will be scheduled during your regular session times/the times outlined in this AD.
- Take accurate data and complete graphing every session.
- Create materials under the guidance of your team leads.
- Take initiative and proactively identify opportunities to collaborate with the BCBA/BCaBA/intern and other team members to ensure program consistency.
- Communicate progress to the Intern and BCBA regularly.
Qualifications:
- Be able to provide a criminal record check.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual.
- Strong communication ability.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with neurodivergent youth, such as those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, or learning disabilities is an asset but not required.
- The AFU (funding source) requires candidates to be at least 19 years old.
- Driver’s license and reliable working vehicle. Must have access to vehicle as all times you are scheduled to work.
Working Conditions:
- Competitive pay with an hourly rate commensurate with experience.
- Maple Ridge centeral locations - will need access to your own personal vehicle as sessions are sometimes stacked.
- Ongoing training through workshops, and direct support through monthly/Bi-monthly meetings.
- Payment provided through the online AFU Portal and is contract-based.
- Training wage to increase after 3 months with yearly wage reviews done by the home team/caregivers.
