Mobile Dental Hygienist Opportunity – Ottawa
iSmile Mobile Dental Inc. is an established mobile oral health practice serving residents of long-term care homes, retirement residences, and seniors' communities across Ottawa and the surrounding region. We are growing our team and are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join us as an independent contractor.
The Opportunity
This is a flexible independent contractor position providing preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services to seniors in a fully equipped mobile clinic environment. iSmile supplies all equipment, instruments, consumables, and administrative support, allowing you to focus on patient care.
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing comprehensive dental hygiene care, including assessments, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, oral hygiene instruction, and preventive services
- Delivering care to elderly and medically complex residents in long-term care and retirement home settings
- Working within a fully equipped mobile dental clinic set-up including portable dental chair and ultrasonic scaler.
- Working with a dental assistant who sets up all equipment, cleans room between clients and escorts clients to and from their appointments.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents and helping improve their quality of life through oral health care
What We Are Looking For
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
- Experience working with seniors, special needs populations, or medically complex patients is an asset
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in non-traditional clinical environments
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Ottawa and surrounding areas, typically within one hour of Ottawa.

Compensation
Independent contractor position. Competitive percentage based compensation. Details will be discussed with qualified candidates.
