Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in the Scarborough (1085 Bellamy Road North). The Supervised Instructor Therapist will work directly with children with Autism to implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs. Responsibilities include delivering one-on-one therapy sessions, tracking progress, and collaborating with a supervising therapist and families to develop and support treatment goals. The role also involves fostering skill development in communication, social interaction, and daily living tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and implementing individualized therapy programs
- Attention to detail with the ability to track progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Passion for working with children with Autism and promoting their development and growth
- Flexible and adaptable mindset to cater to varying needs of children and families
- College diploma or University Degree related to Applied Behavior Analysis or Children's education
Responsibilities
- Work directly with individuals diagnosed with autism in their home or in centre
- Behavior management
- De-escalation of challenging behaviors
- Implement individualized programming
- Collect and graph data daily
- Maintain binder organization
- Assess individuals' strength and needs
- Work closely with Registered Behavior Analyst
- Participate in regular performance evaluations
- Implement changes to enhance contributions to the team and organization
- Prepare and organize materials needed for programming
- Maintain cleanliness of learning area/centre

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
