We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Technician specializing in Genetec systems to join our dynamic team. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining advanced security solutions across various client sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in security systems, construction, and networking, with a focus on delivering reliable and innovative security infrastructure. Must have 3 to 5 years of Genetec experience. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and client support.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Genetec security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, IDS, sensors, and telecommunication components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise system integration.
- Perform electrical work related to low voltage systems, including wiring and power distribution.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for equipment installation and adjustments.
- Conduct system testing to verify proper operation of security hardware and software components.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate security infrastructure seamlessly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes throughout all installation phases.
Experience
- Proven experience working with Genetec CCTV and Access Control systems, computer hardware, networking, and low voltage electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to security hardware installation.
- Familiarity with Schematics, blueprints, and telecommunication schematics is essential.
- Experience with Genetec is highly preferred.
- Construction experience or background in electrical or telecommunication fields is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other installation equipment required for complex security projects.
- Knowledge of sensors, IDS systems, and general security infrastructure components is desirable.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and interpret construction plans effectively.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent technical skills who can manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
