Nurse Practitioner — Preventive & Performance Health
MINT Condition | North Vancouver, BC
Part-time | Approximately 1 day/week initially, with opportunity to grow
MINT Condition is building a different kind of healthcare practice.
We believe good healthcare requires more than tests, data and recommendations. People need help understanding what matters, deciding what to do next, and actually implementing those changes in their lives.
MINT brings medical and allied-health professionals together to help clients better understand their health, address current concerns, improve function and performance, and reduce future health risk.
We are looking for an exceptional Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team and help shape this model.
The opportunity
This is not a traditional high-volume primary-care position.
Our NP will have the opportunity to spend meaningful time with clients, investigate health concerns, interpret clinical data in context, develop individualized recommendations, and work alongside an interdisciplinary team that helps clients put those recommendations into practice.
Areas of focus may include:
· preventive health and risk assessment
· women’s health, including perimenopause and menopause
· men’s health
-occupational rehab
· cardiometabolic health
· healthy aging
· bone health and body composition
· sleep and fatigue
· cognitive health
· physical health and performance
· interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic findings
Our services may incorporate comprehensive health histories, physical assessment, laboratory testing, DEXA/body-composition assessment and other evidence-informed investigations where clinically appropriate.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for an NP who is:
· clinically excellent and evidence-based
· curious and thoughtful
· an exceptional communicator
· comfortable working autonomously
· interested in preventive and proactive healthcare
· collaborative and enthusiastic about interdisciplinary practice
· interested in looking beyond individual symptoms to understand the bigger clinical picture
· excited by the opportunity to help build and refine a new model of care
Experience in primary care, women’s health, menopause, men’s health, metabolic health, preventive medicine, healthy aging or related areas would be particularly valuable.
The role
The position will initially be approximately one day per week, with the opportunity to increase involvement as MINT grows. Because this is an early clinical hire, the successful candidate will also have an opportunity to contribute to the development of MINT’s clinical pathways, assessment processes and services. Candidates must be registered, or eligible for registration, as a Nurse Practitioner in British Columbia.
