Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Furnace Operator to join our production team. This role involves operating glass tempering equipment and supporting general glass processing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor glass tempering furnace and equipment
- Load and unload glass; inspect for defects
- Monitor temperature, gauges, and system readouts
- Adjust settings based on glass size and type
- Maintain production records and logs
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting
- Assist with glass cutting, shaping, or polishing as needed
- Follow all safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Manufacturing or glass industry experience is an asset
- Basic understanding of measurements and machinery
- Physically able to lift glass and stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Team player with willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
