Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Experienced Dog Groomer to join our friendly team. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grooming, excellent customer service skills, and the physical ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary. Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing according to client specifications and breed standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized after each use
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and recommendations
- Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners
- Assist with managing appointment schedules to ensure timely service delivery
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving large or heavy dogs safely within the grooming area
- Keep detailed records of grooming services provided for each pet
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of completed grooming styles
- Knowledge of different dog breeds, coat types, and appropriate grooming techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to lift heavy dogs safely and handle physically demanding tasks throughout the day
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific procedures as needed
