We are looking for a Flatbed / Dry Van Dispatcher who is comfortable managing multiple tasks, is a strong communicator and has excellent problem solving skills. The successful candidate will be able to make quick decisions and prioritize tasks effectively. The Dispatcher will also be responsible for routing trucks efficiently and booking freight accurately, so we are seeking someone who is reliable and has similar work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency dispatch calls.
- Negotiate Freight rates.
- Responsible for booking shipments online using Load boards and over the phone.
- Provide on-time updates to customers for their freight.
- Resolve any shipment related issue faced by driver.
- Planning Drivers according to their HOS and availability.
- Providing rates to Potential clients
- Accountable for all shipments the company books and works closely with other team members
- Learning and developing new skills and processes as well as adhering to company policies.
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of previous experience as load booking.
- Good industry market knowledge and awareness.
- Exceptional negotiation and customer service skills.
- Experience working with Load Link/DAT.
- Professional, courteous, polite, with excellent telephone manners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Fluency in verbal/written English.
- Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Great problem solving skills.
- After hours support is required.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
