Job Title: Lead Sign Installer

Position Overview:
As a Lead and/or Senior Sign Installer, you will provide leadership and direction to the installation crew as well as work beside them. Ensure company procedures, policies and standards are complied with safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for efficiently building and installing commercial, retail and residential signs and products for various customers. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently and as team player.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for updating necessary training and license for crew members. Training and license fees during employment will be covered by the company.
- Ensure health and safety guidelines and procedures are followed and employees are adhering to Ministry of Labour laws (PPE, etc.).
- Help with managing inventory for installations (ex. lumber, nails, screws, concrete etc.)
- Inspect and maintain equipment, vehicles, trailers, tractors, and tools for proper performance.
- Work closely with Production office through the Project Manager
- Carefully read work orders at the beginning of each day and ensure all required materials and tools are loaded.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed and handed in.
- Ensure jobs are completed on time to meet deadlines.
- Keep Project Manager advised on all issues affecting timing, quality, and cost of jobs.
- Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment have been put away at the end of the day and the trucks and trailers are prepared for the next morning.
- Review Monday, digital dashboard, and production white board daily to be aware of job statuses.
- Work with installers to build sign structures correctly, safely, and completely
- Perform site inspections to ensure accurate site information (orientation, materials required, quantity of materials, measurements, time and policy constraints, guidelines, etc.)
- Updated driver’s license and any other licenses required to drive and operate company vehicles and machineries such as forklift, excavator, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Intermediate Level Carpentry knowledge
- Experience working with hand tools, some own tools required
- Experience climbing ladders and comfortable with heights
- Working at Heights Certification (preferred)
- Boom Lift Certification (preferred)
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects
- Willing to work overtime including some Saturdays
- Class G Ontario Driver’s License (required), Class A (preferred)
- Must have own transportation to and from shop located in Sunderland, ON
- Prior experience in the sign industry or Construction is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

- Sign industry: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class G Licence (required)
