We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our client in Etobicoke. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools and power tools, enabling them to troubleshoot issues efficiently and maintain a safe, functional environment. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Support production in the day-to-day operation with troubleshooting and repairs of automated equipment;
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections of equipment and facility;
- Use tools to fabricate fixtures and machine components;
- Support in the diagnosis and analysis and assisting with repairs of equipment in the plant;
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules as required;
- Assist with modifying machinery and equipment as directed;
- Suggest preventative measures to minimize or eliminate breakdowns;
- Assist in the installation of equipment and re-siting of equipment;
- Prepare preventative maintenance program for all processing equipment and ensure it is performed on established timelines;
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and Environmental laws where applicable;
- Promote and comply with safety standards, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices and the observance of protective equipment requirements; and
- Any other reasonable duty required by Management.
Requirements:
- Experience in automated manufacturing environment.
- Advanced mechanical, electrical skills;
- Familiarity with pneumatics and production machines is an asset;
- Practical knowledge and experience in preventative maintenance procedures;
- Ability to use PLC program is an asset;
- Willingness to work any shifts;
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and industrial workplace practices;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Shifts- Days & Afternoon available
Pay range - $35-$37/hr
Expected hours- 44 per week
