Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician or 4th year apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Residential and commercial electrical systems and be proficient in trouble shooting. Having a strong understanding of residential construction is very helpful when renovating electrical work. This role requires a hands-on approach to electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, reading blueprints, and utilizing various tools to complete projects efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or meet updated codes.
- Work with low voltage systems as needed, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople as part of a larger renovation or construction team.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean drivers abstract.
- First aid, Fall Arrest and elevated work platform tickets
