Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Scheduling: Booking, canceling, and confirming patient appointments, managing doctor calendars, and coordinating, referrals.
- Patient Intake: Greeting patients, updating personal information, and preparing examination rooms.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Updating, scanning, and filing confidential medical records.
- Communication: Answering phone calls, handling email inquiries, and distributing messages to medical staff.
- Billing & Insurance: Preparing invoices, processing payments for all private services
- Inventory Management: Ordering office supplies, tracking inventory, and ensuring equipment is stocked.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as CHR.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience required as an MOA
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to navigate HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and phone etiquette
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Prior medical clinic or office experience is required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
