Dean Group's Manufacturing division is now recruiting for a Mill Support Machine Operator for one of our reputable clients in Waterloo.
Job Title: Mill Support
Employment Type: Contract to Permanent
Vacancy Status: This position is being advertised for a role we intend on filling
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Shift: Day/Afternoon Rotation (weekly)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a variety of different machines.
- Oversee setting up and loading the parts in the machines
- Perform part inspection, ensuring all parts meet company standards
- Load, unload, sort, and stack parts as required
- Follow safety protocols and workplace procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience as a machine operator
- Previous machine set up experience
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs comfortably
- Ability to run multiple machines at once
- Experience with calibers and micrometers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with overhead crane is a bonus
- Both written and verbal communication in English
- Team player who can also work independently
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
