About the Opportunity
We're a small team supporting a large and growing manufacturing operation, and we're looking for someone who wants more than a traditional bookkeeping role.
This is a small office — seven people supporting a substantial plant — which means you'll work directly with ownership on a regular basis, and your work will be highly visible. Decisions move quickly, context isn't always documented yet, and the person who thrives here is comfortable operating with some ambiguity while steadily building toward structure. If you want to be one of many in a large finance department, this isn't the role. If you want your work to genuinely matter and to have a hand in shaping how this business runs, it is.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how information flows through a business and how that information impacts financial reporting, costing, inventory, and decision-making. Over time, you will become a key resource in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the information used to run the business. For the right candidate, this role offers a distinct runway for growth in the organization as you master our systems and expand your impact on our operations. If you enjoy learning how a business truly operates, asking questions, connecting the dots, and ensuring information is accurate and reliable, we'd love to hear from you.
Who Thrives in This Role
You are naturally curious and enjoy understanding how things work. You take pride in producing accurate information and have a strong attention to detail — borderline obsessive about organization, in the best way. You are a natural dot-connector who doesn’t just enter numbers but instinctively understands how physical activity on the plant floor impacts the balance sheet. As a collaborative partner to leadership, you bring the active listening skills and structured mindset needed to translate big-picture vision into clear, organized workflows. You are borderline obsessive about data integrity, dislike unmapped processes, and possess the adaptability and focus required to keep projects moving forward smoothly.
When information doesn't make sense, you ask questions. When something is missing, you follow up. When a process can be improved, you identify the opportunity and share your ideas. You're diplomatic, patient, and confident. You're self-directed and don't need a rigid structure handed to you; in fact, building that structure is part of the appeal. And you enjoy understanding not only the numbers, but the story behind them.
