Bird's Moving & Storage, located in St. Catharines, Ontario is seeking a dedicated and reliable Mover/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with moving and transporting goods, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for our clients. An AZ, DZ or G license (or equivalent) is required. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to lift heavy items, and experience in commercial driving. As a Mover/Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for quality service.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate trucks and equipment
- Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage and work with a crew of multiple people on day to day basis
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and vehicles.
- Driving commercial vehicles to different residences around Niagara
- Working knowledge and accuracy with digital logs
- Flexibility of both work schedule and work duties. We encounter a lot of different scenarios in this industry and being able to mold ourselves to these duties is a must
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mover helper will be prioritized. Other areas of physical labour will be considered
- Must have a valid Ontario license for AZ or DZ
- A clean abstract is important
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the day.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to lead a crew and deal with customers
- Punctuality is a must
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary
- A strong commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
