Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded Labourer/Commercial Truck Driver (Building Mover) to join our team. This position involves working with the crew to prepare and load buildings for transport, driving your assigned vehicle during the transport, and helping to unload buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience in the trucking industry and a professional, safety-first approach. This role offers the chance to work in a unique, specialty industry, delivering homes across Alberta.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks, related machinery and power tools safely.
- Carefully load and unload supplies and equipment to prevent damage.
- Transport buildings and materials to assigned locations while complying with traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist with labour tasks required for loading and unloading buildings.
- Complete pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance on assigned vehicle.
- Maintain accurate safety, inspection, and trip documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself, your team, and the public.
Skills
- Commercial driving experience, preferably with oversized loads.
- Ability to operate power tools and experience as a skid steer operator is an asset.
- Clean driving record and a valid Class 1 licence.
- Physically able to lift and handle materials and perform manual work for extended periods.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Able to follow instructions and retain procedures for future work.
- Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
