We are currently looking for Junior/Intermediate and Senior Electrical Designers.
The Electrical Designer will be responsible for determining project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards; coordinates activities with project manager, completes technical specification reviews, supports cost estimates and preparation of bill of materials.
Role and Responsibilities
- Use all relevant documentation.
- Note any issues with a project – design, concept, timing.
- Hardware design.
- Programming.
- Startup assistance.
- Service, Production and Sales support.
- Guide co-ops.
- Request resources as required.
- Cable calculations.
- Support Mechanical designer
- Obtain all required project documents.
- Maintain project deadlines.
- Use all relevant documentation to ensure a smooth project.
- Document and communicate any issues with a project – design, concept, timing.
- Hardware design.
- Service support.
- Production support.
- Sales support.
- Schedule resources as required.
- Schedule ESA inspections.
- BOM- Design & Maintenance.
- Cable calculations.
- Integrate & Communicate with Mechanical designers to ensure cohesive designs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3-year College Diploma technician/technologist and/or University Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Proficient in AutoCAD software.
- Electrical CAD software an asset.
- EPLAN an asset.
- Mechanical schematic interpretation, Mechanical theory and application required.
- Must be able to travel internationally.
- Works with minimum supervision.
- Fast learner.
- Accurate documentation generation.
- Attention to detail is mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,139.37-$80,156.30 per year
