Seasonal & Summer Production Line Workers - LOCATED IN MARKDALE ONTARIO
Job Summary
The Production Line Worker is responsible for working as part of a team in a continuous production environment manufacturing ice cream and ice water products. This role involves rotating through various stations on the production line after completing structured on-the-job training through mentorship. Employees are expected to support efficient production flow while maintaining product quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with team members on a continuous production line
- Learn and perform multiple station duties through a step-by-step training process
- Rotate between production stations once fully trained
- Monitor products for quality control issues and remove or correct defective items
- Operate and maintain product flow by filling dispensers and handling items on the line
- Prepare products for packaging by positioning, flipping, or organizing items as required
- Perform general cleaning duties during and at the end of shifts, including sweeping, trash removal, and sanitation of common areas
- Replenish stock and support line readiness as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and remain aware of moving equipment such as conveyor systems
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
- Good memory retention and ability to follow multi-step instructions
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal directions
- Good fine motor skills and manual dexterity
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Work performed in ambient temperature environments; conditions may be humid or damp
- Frequent repetitive movements including bending, lifting, walking, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to lift up to approximately 23 kg. repeatedly (up to 10 times per hour depending on station)
- Extended periods of standing and active movement required
- Work environment includes proximity to moving machinery and conveyor belts
- Position may not be suitable for individuals sensitive to motion (e.g., vertigo or motion sickness)

Compensation
$23.75 per hour
