Kitchen/Bakeshop Lead
Fast paced coffee business looking for a reliable, enthusiastic team player to take a leadership role in our kitchen/bakeshop.
Qualifications:
Safe food handling certificate required
Post secondary education in food service or bakery field preferred.
Experience in working in a fast paced kitchen/bakery
Experience in taking inventory of supplies, developing recipes for baked goods and lunch menu
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, and starting work shift at 5:30 am
Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
Must have effective problem solving/decision making abilities.
Excellent communication skills and able to work in a team environment with kitchen and café staff
Duties:
Prepare baked goods, and lunches daily according to menu schedule
Train, and guide other kitchen employees and students in completion of daily duties.
Ensure that the kitchen is maintained according to sanitation and cleaning standards.
Follow up on customer feedback and make appropriate changes to recipes that meet customer needs.
Assist in planning and developing seasonal café menu items
Inventory supplies following weekly menu rotation
Coordinate specialized customer orders
